Hi Everyone, hope summer is treating you well!!
We continue to make progress on the construction at Ocean Winds, although in an ideal world we would have it all done and have everyone enjoying summer in the park.
The contractors have been making reasonable progress on the site, a few surprises, but nothing devastating. We’ve been waiting for approvals to move the excess topsoil to a neighbouring farm and awaiting the Agricultural Land Commissions blessing, which we expect soon. We have also finally received final approval for our building permits. These delays have affected our schedule, but we are hoping to make up time with continued good weather.
We have been getting a number of inquiries on the anticipated opening date and at this stage it is too difficult to say with any confidence what that date will likely be. We believe that it will be this fall but certainly don’t want anyone to make plans with firm dates and be stuck. Our best guess at this stage is November. Note that there is no requirement for you to move in the month that the park opens, we will have a reasonable grace period from the day we send notice that the park is ready for occupancy.
Our first phase is very close to fully committed, with only a handful of units currently available.
