First of all, we sure hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during these awkward and unnerving times. I think we are all uneasy and hoping for some good news on the near horizon.
Every industry is impacted by this situation and our contractors and sub contractors are doing everything to ensure their people are safe and maintaining government recommended separations.
I know a number of you have been by the park in the past few weeks – there has been some decent activity including framing out the clubhouse building and clearing/ burning of the remaining stumps and logs in phase 2, but a lot of the work that we need to do is still impacted by wet ground. We have had a nice run of dry weather now and expect to have the ground crew there moving dirt next week. We are still experiencing some delays with BC Hydro and getting power to the site, but expect that to get resolved shortly.
In terms of timing for the park opening, it is difficult to predict with certainty at this stage, in normal circumstances we believe that mid June would still be attainable, but we don’t know what timeline impact the COVID-19 situation will have on trade availability.
We are in the process of arranging a site for potential temporary housing/ storage of RV’s – the site would not have any services, so those staying there would have to be completely self sufficient. If you would like to know more about it, please contact me directly.
